PPWR packaging minimisation
PPWR Art. 10 requires weight and volume to be reduced to the absolute minimum. Assess your readiness (Reg. (EU) 2025/40, Art. 10 and Annex IV).

Packaging with characteristics exclusively aimed at increasing the perceived volume of the product (including double walls, false bottoms and unnecessary layers) shall not be placed on the market.

Art. 10 derogations (design, trade mark, GI)
Art. 10 does not apply in specific cases (confirm against the consolidated text):
- Packaging protected by a Community design or EU trade mark registered before 11 February 2025, where altering the packaging would alter the novelty or individual character of the design or trade mark.
- Products benefiting from a protected geographical indication (GI) under Union law.
