It gives an indicative overview in 30 seconds. Each regulation has nuances: use the linked full checkers (GDPR fine calculator, NIS2 applicability checker, etc.) for a precise result.

Which regulations does this cover?

GDPR (data protection), NIS2 (cybersecurity), CBAM (carbon border tax on imports), PPWR (packaging rules), and the EU AI Act. More will be added.

What is the NIS2 threshold?

NIS2 applies to medium and large entities (50+ employees or €10M+ turnover) in critical sectors (Annex I: energy, transport, health, banking, digital; Annex II: food, chemicals, postal). Some digital infrastructure is always in scope regardless of size.

Does CBAM apply to my business?

CBAM applies if you import steel, aluminium, cement, fertilisers, or hydrogen from outside the EU. Since January 2026 you must purchase CBAM certificates for the embedded carbon in each shipment.

When does the AI Act apply?

The main high-risk obligations take effect 2 August 2026. If you deploy or develop AI systems in the EU, you need to classify your system's risk tier now.
